Alaska/Yukon Trails

A daily, economical, scheduled & chartered service catering to individual travelers, Denali Park employees and small groups along the scenic Parks Highway between Anchorage, the commerce capital of Alaska, Talkeetna the climbing capital, Denali National Park, and the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks the vacation capital of Alaska.

Weather permitting see spectacular south and north views of Alaska Range and Mt. McKinley (Denali), highest peak in North America.

Get off anywhere along the Parks Highway and re-board on a later date, adding only a $10 re-boarding fee.

If stopping in Talkeetna (16-miles off the Parks Hwy) allow 1-overnight to enjoy a river sight-seeing or fishing tour and/or a flight-seeing tour circling or landing on Ruth Glacier, the base-camp for Denali mountain climbers.

If stopping in Denali be sure to allow one-overnight. Take an afternoon shuttle to the Toklat River, 50 miles into the park. Watch for grizzly, caribou, moose, wolf, fox, raven & eagles on your journey. The following morning enjoy a raft, ATV or jeep adventure or visit the local shops and galleries near the park entrance.

Before joining a tour to the Yukon Territory Canada, be sure to allow 2 overnights in Fairbanks to visit Pioneer Park with its historic cabins, shops and WWII flight museum. Enjoy a tour or dinner on a historic paddle-wheel river boat. Take a leisurely walk thru Creamer's Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Visit University of Alaska botanical gardens, musk ox farm and Museum of the North where you will learn about northern lights, Alaskaís indigenous population and gold mining heritage. Enjoy dinner in Fox at the Turtle Club, at one of the excellent restaurants in downtown Fairbanks or at the historic Pump House Restaurant along the Chena River.

Visit Mary Shield's the first women to complete the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, log cabin with sod roof in the hills above Fairbanks. Meet her team, learn how she trains them to voice commands, and about racing the Yukon Quest and in Siberia.  Find Mary Shield's tales of the trails at www.maryshields.com.

Donít forget to send letters to folks back home from Santa Claus House, North Pole, Alaska and/or spend a relaxing day 60-miles northeast of Fairbanks at historic Chena Hot Springs Resort.
